My past careers have included graphic design and floristry – but I am convinced that caring is my calling. I come alive at the thought of delivering person-centred care in order to facilitate empowerment, independence and wellbeing for all people. The people I support describe me as compassionate, proficient, diligent, patient and warm.
Pleased to meet you I’m Lauren,
a disability support +
aged care provider in Geelong.
I have three years full time experience supporting a diverse range of people across the disability & aged sectors: dementia, autism, stroke, Angelman syndrome, Parkinsons, diabetes, vision impairment, mobility, psychosocial and intellectual disability.
I am half way through the Diploma of Dementia Care with the Wicking Dementia Centre (University of Tasmania), the national leader in dementia education and research. I’m finding it immeasurably interesting and applicable across my disability support and aged care practice.
In my spare time I love learning new things, gardening and making spaces beautiful and functional.
I look forward to meeting you!
